Santiago de Chile  from a Visual Approach

Resultado de imagen para santiago de chile

Santiago have a lot of cinematic potential, I study cinema so I will talk about this.

Santiago is very interesting in his visuality because, unlike another Sudamerican big cities, here the separation of the center with the periphery is very hard. In another cities there is a kind of mixture, here the dictatorship an other factors stablished the  radical separation.

This thing, aborded from the visuality it means, is very strong; just enough you get in to a micro of the transantiago (bus), and you will see the city changing his face a lot of times. This thing is big challenge to the cinematic representation, if you want to representate Santiago you have to capture this changes and this differences. This separations make the citie becoma a map of different  ideas and social imaginarys .

In my opinion, this thing, even if its a factor in comun with a lot of another cities, is one of the things that defines the visuality of this city. It defines the actions involved, the dinamycs of the whole city, his movements, the movements of the people, everithing.

EVERY PICTURE TELLS A STORY Sebastian and Luciano, March 2017.   I'm going to write about a the story behind this picture. I like this picture because it was taken at the end of the summer of the 2017, I was visiting my friend  Sebastian,  we  meet in the  neighbourhood  years back and we are friends since we were 13 yearls old. He leaves Santiago  to study in Buenos Aires, and the summer of the 2017 we made a road trip making auto-stop  from Santiago to Buenos Aires. We stay one week the place he rents in Buenos Aires and then we continue traveling to Uruguay. We travel a lot,  we know a lot of places and people, it was great , always  making auto-stop and making  the money  last the most possible. We arrive to a carnival in Uruguay, those were very crazy days, drinking and smoking a lot, and visiting beautiful beaches. We have a lot of adventures, we make great friends ...
Hi! My name is Luciano Venegas Alcaino and I am 23 yeards old. I study Cine and TV  here in ICEI. I have live all my life in Santiago de Chile.  I spend my free time watching movies and making music. I will talk about the music stuff because is a short story and I think is funny.  When I was in Higschool I started my firt band whit three friends and since the date I have been in a lot of bands and stuff.  The first band was an average school band, we used to play a lot of grunge covers from bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains. But  after a year playing, our musical taste like band started to change, and we began playing some Talking Heads and David Bowie songs. It was great, to move from a sound to another. After that we start creating our oun songs and perform live shows  in partys. The band died in 2013 because the Higschool ends and we were all interested in diferent music styles. When i started my studys here in ICEI I began ano...
Hello! Im going to talk about my favorite piece of technology: my old Cassette-corder Sony Clear Voice.  Is a cassette  player/recorder, it was from my mom, she used to work as a journalist in the 80's and the early 90's,  and she recorded the interviews with this little and useful machine.  I found it in a box with old stuff when I was a little child, I used to listen to old punk cassettes and a lot of unknown chilean underground bands. I listened to "Los Jorobados", "Supersordo", "Pog", even "Los Fiscales Had-ok"; it was awesome to have all those cassettes.  I start stealing the cassettes from my Grandmas house, I still one of Juan Gabriel and other of Camilo Sesto. I used to listen music with the cassette, but somethimes when I have a virgin Cassette y recorded stuff, I spend hours recording,  it was like playing with the sounds.   I stoped using it when I become a bit older, In the Higschool I used a MP3 and I slowly f...
